How to read the part drawing:

Understand the name, material, proportion of drawing, weight, etc.

Analyze views, imagine shapes

Reading the internal and external shapes and structures of parts is the key to reading part drawings. The drawing method of the assembly (including views, cuts, sections, etc.) still applies to reading part drawings.

From the basic view to see the parts inside and outside the body shape; combined with the local view, oblique view, and profile expression methods, to read the part of the local or inclined shape; the same time, from the design and processing requirements, understand some of the structure of the parts effect.

Analyze size and technical requirements

Understand the shape, positioning dimensions, and the overall dimensions of the parts of the part, and the benchmarks used to note dimensions. Also read technical requirements such as surface roughness, tolerances, and fits.

Sometimes, in order to read more complex parts drawings, it is necessary to refer to the relevant technical data, including the part assembly drawing where the part is located and the part drawing related to it.

(a) read the title bar

The name of the part is the shell and it is a box type part. Seen from the ZL102 table, the material is a cast aluminum alloy and the entire part is a casting.

(B) Analyze the view, imagine the shape

The shell is more complex, with three basic views (taking appropriate cuts as needed) and a partial view to express its inner and outer shapes. The main view uses a single A-A cross-sectional view taken along a positive plane to express the internal shape. The top view uses the B-B full section view after the stepped section, while expressing the shape of the inside and the bottom plate. A left side view with a partial cutaway and a C side view with a partial view mainly express the outline and the top shape.

According to the physical analysis, the read casing is mainly composed of an upper body, a lower mounting plate, and a left bump. With the exception of the bumps, the body and the base plate are basically rotating bodies.

Look at the details of the structure: the top has ø30H7 through hole, ø12 blind hole and M6 screw hole; the bottom has ø48H7 and the body on the ø30H7 through hole connected to the step hole, the bottom plate also flattened 4-ø16 mounting hole 4 -ø7. In combination with the main, top, and left views, the left side is a grooved T-shaped projection with a stepped hole of ø12, ø8 on the left end face of the groove, which communicates with the cylindrical hole of the top ø12; at this step hole Above and below, there is a screw hole M6. The cylindrical flange at the front of the lug (as seen from the outer diameter ø30) has stepped holes of ø20 and ø12, and penetrates through the cylindrical hole at the top ø12 rearward. As can be seen from the left side view and the C-view of the partial cutaway, there are six mounting holes ø7 at the top and flattened planes ø14 at their lower ends.

Through this reading, you can roughly see the inside and outside of the shell.

(c) Analysis of size and technical requirements

From the analysis and analysis of the dimensions on the diagram, it can be seen that the length reference and the width reference are the side planes and the positive planes of the body axis of the through housing; the height reference is the bottom surface of the bottom plate. Starting from these three dimensional benchmarks, we can further understand the shape and size of the shell by further understanding the dimensions and size of each part.

The technical requirements stated in the text are: After the castings have undergone aging treatment, they can be processed by cutting; the unfilled casting fillets in the drawing are R1 to R3.
